In 2018, I moved to America from Tokyo with my family to pursue my American dream and expand my blockchain company to the US market.
In a very short time, my lifestyle changed and my eating habits changed drastically. Pizza replaced sushi, and burgers replaced udon. Before I knew it, I had gained 10lbs and started to feel like my health was going south. It was hard to digest American foods, which is very rich in calories but lacking nutrients, and I suffered from frequent diarrhea, poor sleep, and very low energy, which impacted my work and my mood. I felt as if my body was filled with toxins, and I knew something needed to change.
I started to investigate the reasons the American food was making me feel so bad and ways I can adjust my diet to gain my health and happiness back. My wife recommended I try a cleanse with a Japanese fermented drink called Koso. Koso is a fermented drink, using old traditional Japanese methods, that is rich in prebiotics and probiotics and helps improve the body’s digestive health.
At first, I could not imagine not eating food and only drinking Koso for several days. My first cleanse lasted for 3-days of only drinking Koso with sparkling water and eliminating all foods, juice, or any other drink. Surprisingly, I didn’t feel that hungry, because Koso is made from many vegetables, fruits, and plants. After the cleanse, I felt completely renewed, my digestive issues from which I suffered since childhood were almost gone, my skin was clear from breakouts, my mood was lifted, I slept well.
Since the cleanse I have been using Koso daily (as a breakfast replacement), and I do a Koso Cleanse with my wife every month. My immune system improved, I haven’t caught a cold or got sick since, and I am feeling better than I have felt for a long time. I knew I had to share this gift with more people.
I went back to Japan to find the best way to source Koso, so you can feel the positive effects for yourself. I created R’s KOSO, which is made from over 100 vegetables, fruits, and plants, including seaweed and mushrooms. It goes through a 1-year fermentation process with over 10 different yeasts, lactic acid bacteria, and koji which is a Japanese cultural fungus.
I am so happy to bring the wisdom of Japanese fermented food to every person in America. Let’s start transforming our health, and improving our mood today.
“Health is the promise of happiness.”
